Incredible, the year is almost gone and sad but true, but my homepage wasn't up to date this year. Anyway as I will start my trip to South America in 2012 I will keep it a little more up to date in 2012. On December the 31st 2011 I planned a mountaineering tour up to the so called "Rinnerkogel", where I planned to take a night next to the peak with my tent. But a storm on the top of the mountains prevent me to do this, so I had a nice walk in the dark as I was stating the tour a little late. Hereby you can see the video which I made to keep this emotions of that strange tour.

On Thursday I was out on the mountains for a new year tour. The goal was the Gr- Pyhrgas (2244 m). Sadly I wasn't able to take a new year flight because of the strong winds from the south. Taht's why I climbed the Schafberg (1782 m) today. The conditions were perfect for flying and because of the warm winds these days it was quiet warm also on the peak. Indeed I wear a long shit, so a jacked wasn't needed also during the flight. I still have the testing glider the Antea K2 from SKY paragliders and I ve seen once more it a really fascinating nice wing. Also if it has the same surface like my old Nova Ibex it's faster and the gliding performance is much better. To sum up it was a really great tour and it was fascinating that there wasn't left a lot of snow, well it really wasn't enough for that season. These days I will cut a video where you will see how less snow was left ;). Here is the logbook for further details.

2011 will be a quiet busy year for me, because a lot of great things has to be prepared and a lot of upcoming mountain tours waiting to be done.
